Teaser Tuesday: Skin Hunger

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

“You were chosen from thousands, but only one of you will become a wizard,” he said slowly. “Or, more likely, none.”

pg. 78 of Skin Hunger by Kathleen Duey.

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  1. I’m a day late, but I thought I might share some teaser sentences from James Knapp’s State of Decay:

“I was thinking about it,” she said. “I think cookies were the wrong way to go.”

    and

“I felt kind of embarrassed that she thought she could ply me with booze, and even more so that it was working.”

Both selections are from page 124. 🙂

  2. For some reason, this made me think of the beginning episode of Grey’s Anatomy (a show I only watched one and half seasons of). They say to all the interns something like what this character is saying to the would-be wizards.
