Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
“Please… my legs… very painful…”
“I knew she would marry Ian,” she said, smiling dreamily, “and I believe Geoffrey and Ian will become friends again, eventually.”
pg. 17 of Misery by Stephen King.
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!
I never read this, but did see the movie — good teaser!
That’s part of the reason I’m reading it! Thanks for dropping by.
I haven’t read this but I am pretty sure I know enough about the plot to know that this isn’t going to end well.
My teaser is The King of Attolia – a book I am very excited about reading this week!
It’s Stephen King. It can’t end well. 😉 Thanks for visiting!
I haven’t read a King book in a while but I do remember this movie.
I hear good things about both.
This sounds interesting! I haven’t read very many books by King and missed this one. My teaser is from Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel. Happy reading!
This is mostly my first King. (I read one, but when I was little.)
Ooooh creeeeepy! Nice teaser choice. 🙂 Mine is at The Crowded Leaf.
I thought it would work- the beginning is a little too stream of consciousness for me, but this pair worked.
interesting teaser, but I must admit I’ve never read a Stephan King Novel. Kaye-the road goes ever ever on
Thanks! And yeah, this is mostly my first. (I read another one, but when I was little.)
oh gosh, you are brave to read this!!! too scary for me 🙂
Here’s my teaser!!
I’m actually very squeamish! But it sounded so interesting, I couldn’t pass it up. 🙂
Haven’t read this one, but I want to! It’s been many years since I read anything by Stephen King – I should do something about that soon. Good teaser!
Here’s mine.
Thanks! And thanks for dropping in!
I actually have never read anything by Stephen King, despite the fact that he is from Maine and when I was living in Maine, my family once drove past his house to look at it. I feel like I vaguely know the premise for this one and I think I saw a snippet of the film once.
